Why is the Valtaris server structure designed this way?
When designing the Valtaris server network, the primary goal was not to force a single playstyle on everyone, but to provide multiple clear paths so every player can find the environment where they truly enjoy Lineage 2. The different chronicles and server types are not alternatives competing with each other, but complementary worlds within the same universe.
The Lineage 2 community is highly diverse. Some players seek the classic, slower progression and clan-driven world, while others prefer faster advancement, endgame-focused gameplay, or direct PvP action. Valtaris does not aim to label one approach as superior, but to offer a clean and well-defined framework for each of them.
Interlude – two faces of a classic era
For many players, the Interlude chronicle represents the essence of Lineage 2. It is an era where progression has weight, equipment truly matters, and clan relationships shape the world. For this reason, Interlude is offered in two distinct forms.
The Interlude Low Rate server is designed for players who want to stay as close as possible to the original experience. Progression is slower, decisions have long-term consequences, and character development is a real investment. This world is ideal for patient players, organized clans, and those who value gradual advancement.
The Interlude Mid Rate server offers a balanced compromise. It preserves the atmosphere and mechanics of Interlude while making content accessible with less time investment. This option is perfect for players with limited time who still want to enjoy the classic feel without excessive grinding.
High Five – modern pace, clear objectives
The High Five chronicle represents a more refined, endgame-oriented version of Lineage 2, with deeper systems and a more complex PvE–PvP balance. Here, Valtaris provides two different directions.
The High Five 15x server is a carefully chosen middle ground. It allows players to reach endgame content within a reasonable timeframe while preserving the value of progression and character building. This server is aimed at players seeking active community life, Olympiad competition, Hero status, and long-term goals.
The High Five PvP server focuses on direct and intense gameplay. The emphasis is on combat, events, and competition, with minimal mandatory PvE. It is designed for players who prefer constant action and fast-paced encounters over long preparation.
One philosophy, multiple paths
Although the servers differ in pace and focus, they all share the same core philosophy. Valtaris does not artificially interfere with player progression, does not distort gameplay, and relies on automated events to ensure a predictable and fair environment. The choice always remains with the player.
Valtaris does not offer a single world, but a system where every era and playstyle has its place. The real question is not which server is “better”, but which path you choose.
